Summer Dressing

I'll be the first to admit that dressing for warm weather was never my favourite thing. Chunky knits and layers in Autumn always seemed so much more appealing, but this year I've absolutely loved curating my Summer wardrobe and making the most of the sun.

I've noticed a bit of a trend forming with the pieces I've been collecting, and midi length is definitely one of them. Dresses or skirts, they're just the easiest thing to throw on when it's hot. This blue & white stripe skirt is almost weightless and I love the detail of the ties around the waist, which sits at the perfect height to tuck a classic white tee into to keep things casual.

Pops of colour have also been my thing this season, especially red. From someone who's most colourful items of clothing used to be various tones of grey this is definitely a change, but red has been popping up everywhere at the moment and I'm always so drawn to it!

The last, and most essential piece of my go-to Summer outfit is of course the shoes. If theres one thing you need to get you though Summer, it's a pair of simple tan sandals. Every year I find a pair in this style and they go with absolutely everything!
