01. Best of Beauty in 2013 here - A two part look into my favourite Make Up, Skincare, Hair and Body products from the last twelve months. No stone is left unturned in this comprehensive guide to beauty - I suggest you get comfy and grab a cup of tea as it's a long one!

02. The January Detox: A Three Step Plan here Though I may not be the best at New Year's resolutions I've come up with three simple steps to keep my skin and body maintained after the festive season and believe it or not, I'm still sticking to them!

03. A Foundation Dilemma here - This month I called on you to help me find a replacement for the much loved but long gone Jemma Kidd Light As Air Foundation and I've already tried out a handful of your favourites bringing me one step closer to my new go-to base. Keep those suggestions coming!

04. Seeking Plain Nails here - For a while now I've been abandoning colour in favour of a 'barely there' nail. See my favourite picks for a simple nude manicure.

05. New In: Beauty Haul here - Of course the month wouldn't be complete without a Haul and I've got a mix of new high and low end goodies to add to my collection including the palette that everyone is coveting and a drugstore mascara that I can't stop raving about.

06. Currently Obsessed: Rituals Laughing Buddha Collection here - Last up comes a new feature to I Covet Thee in the form of 'Currently Obsessed' where I hand over some time in the spotlight to the products I can't get enough of. This week - a body range from Rituals that smells divine.

It's been a while since I shared my everyday make up routine with you and although the products may chop and change on an all too regular basis, these are the stand outs that I've been reaching for the most when getting myself ready in the morning. There's also an insight into how I've been using the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette since it's addition into my collection and the products I take out and about with me to keep things looking fresh.

Get Ready With Me: Everyday Make Up

It's been a while since I shared my everyday make up routine with you and although the products may chop and change on an all too regular basis, these are the stand outs that I've been reaching for the most when getting myself ready in the morning. There's also an insight into how I've been using the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette since it's addition into my collection and the products I take out and about with me to keep things looking fresh.

Since receiving a nifty little Canon EOS M for Christmas I've made a vow to take more pictures while I'm out and about. From now on I'll be dedicating 'This Week' posts to something slightly fancier than a pile of Instagram snaps for your snippet of the last seven days. Of course, that's all well said and done until you're whipping out a camera in the middle of Pizza Hut while the waiter stands awkwardly beside the table as you try to capture the perfect image of your slice. I don't know how you lifestyle bloggers do it.

This Week #54

Since receiving a nifty little Canon EOS M for Christmas I've made a vow to take more pictures while I'm out and about. From now on I'll be dedicating 'This Week' posts to something slightly fancier than a pile of Instagram snaps for your snippet of the last seven days. Of course, that's all well said and done until you're whipping out a camera in the middle of Pizza Hut while the waiter stands awkwardly beside the table as you try to capture the perfect image of your slice. I don't know how you lifestyle bloggers do it.

This year I'll be adding a new feature to I Covet Thee in which I take a look at a handful of the products I'm 'Currently Obsessed' with. It's rare that a single item gets it's own dedicated post but I often find myself utterly addicted to things, whether that's cosmetics, skincare, hair products - you name it. Anything that falls into the category of 'I will happily wake up ten minutes early just to use you' deserves it's time in the spotlight .. don't judge, we all know I feel about beauty.

This week the Rituals Laughing Buddha Range takes the title and I really have built up quite a collection. I touched on this scent briefly when the Fortune Scrub was included as a magazine freebie but since then my love for the Sweet Orange and Cedar fragrance has grown and grown and I recently made two new additions to the family in the form of the Foaming Shower Gel and Touch of Happiness Body Cream.

These products don't just smell incredible - sweet but with a warm musky undertone that lingers for hours, their textures and formulas are also worth shouting about. The Shower Gel is a particular favourite, coming out of the can in a gel like texture which transforms into a beautifully silky foam - think shaving gel but ten times more luxurious. The Body Cream is also another one that glides on effortlessly, with a texture like butter that sinks in with no residue and keeps my dry Winter limbs nourished all day long.

I really cannot get enough of these products and am already sniffing out the last few items in the range to complete my collection. Obsessed? I think so!

Though January should ideally be the month I give the bank card a well deserved rest and start reflecting on how a person could possibly need so many different cosmetics, I seem to have done the opposite and filled my shopping bags to the brim with new beauty finds. From a dabble in the Space NK Sale to a handful of drugstore goodies, here's a look at some of the product purchases I've made over the last few weeks.

Can I make a confession? I haven't worn nail varnish at all for the last few months. For some reason I haven't felt the temptation, not even to pull out a fancy glitter come festive celebrations back in December. I'm sure you're all recoiling in horror, but there's something to be said for a Plain Jane nail. One thing I have noticed unfortunately is the poor condition my nails have now fallen into through various knocks, scrapes and a general lack of attention on my part - you never realise how much protection those few coats of lacquer give.

Luckily there are a host of 'barely there' colours to suppress my appetite for an undressed nail while still keep things in check and glossy as I edge my way back into the polish wearing crowd. Essie (of course) do nudes very, very well. There must be over twenty different shades to choose from but my favourite picks come in the form of Ballet Slippers - a sheer wash of subtle pink that still lets the smile line show through and Topless & Barefoot - definitely on the opaque side but neutral enough not to cause any distractions.

Sally Hansen have also served up a cracker of a shade and my new favourite nail adornment - Peachy Keen. Always a lover of their treatments and top coats I've never actually tried a colour from the Complete Salon Manicure range but this slightly sheer yet buildable warm, creamy colour has impressed me with it's lasting powder and a brush that may just rival Essie's for a one sweep wonder.

Let's see how long this nude phase lasts before I'm back on the brights!

This morning during the usual rush to get ready for work I came across an all too familiar dilemma - I have five minutes before I absolutely need to leave the house, what do I put on my face and more importantly which foundation do I choose? With a Muji draw and-a-half full of the stuff this should have been a simple question but I found myself rooting around in the depths of my dressing table - or the 'archives' as I like to call them, and instinctively pulled out my old Jemma Kidd Light As Air Foundation - the fail safe complexion saver. I proceeded to achieve a pretty much flawless base in under a minute and everything was going swimmingly until I went in for a second helping and realised it was completely empty.

I know you've heard me moan about the demise of the world's most perfect foundation before, but today I've decided to make it my mission to find a suitable replacement for the Jemma Kidd shaped hole in my heart. Although I've tried more than my fair share of foundations I've never come across one that had such a light weight glowy formula, that covered as perfectly and actually lasted well too. Gorgio Armani Luminous Silk came close but leans a bit on the heavy side for my skin. I also thought I'd found a winner in NARS Sheer Glow (which F.Y.I currently holds the title of my favourite base) but it just doesn't boast the radiance of Light As Air.

So this is where you come in. I'm sure I can't be the only one that loved this foundation, it's momentary rediscovery today has left me wanting more and I'm prepared to do the legwork - so what have you found comes closest? Is there something even better? I'd love to hear your opinions and I'll be jotting them down on the shopping list for my next rendezvous with the Boots Beauty Hall. Fire away!

Since the purchase of it's travel size back in October my love for Oribe's cult Dry Texturising Spray has been growing at an alarming rate. I promised myself I would never shell out for the full size, priced at a whopping £38 when the miniature alone is £18. And yet here it is, sitting smugly on my dressing table after a frenzied episode on the Space NK site which I'm sure you'll be hearing more about soon.

I had a short fling with the Bumble & Bumble Dryspun Finish before giving into the Oribe hype - hailed as a 'purse friendly alternative' (although gram for gram the latter actually comes out cheaper) it has the same premise but I find it gives a more of a 'fluffy' effect - maybe not the best for those with frizz prone locks. Oribe's offering really is unmatched in it's ability to provide texture, volume and the perfect undressed look to your hair without any stickiness or extra weight. Lets just hope this can lasts at least a year (or two) to justify the cost, although my inner big hair cravings are telling me it probably won't!
